These were how they set up the demo bikes from all the dealers. They were place at the base of Copper mt and you could go to each vendor and make an appointment for a certain bike and then when the time came you got to go ride the newest models out with only a credit card for a HOLDING DEPOSIT and a Motorcycle lic. Problem was they were so booked up and the rides were 30-40 mins long so they didnt go fast enough to move any line so if you hadnt pre registered the day before... no ride for you.

    Schwantzy Takes It 8/25/2003

The Fay Myers Suzuki Supermoto Classic was a roaring two days of success as part of the Suzuki Cycle Fest in Copper Mountain, Colorado.

And no one was more successful than Suzuki's Kevin Schwantz, the Texan coming away from the two races as the Big Kahuna - the title given to the overall winner.

Held in the beautiful Copper Mountain ski resort for the first time, the event featured the biggest U.S. Supermoto purse to date at $20,000.

On Saturday, Troy Lee Honda's Jeff Ward came from fourth place to take the victory over his teammate Jeremy McGrath. Former World and AMA Superbike Champion Scott Russell was fourth.

On Sunday, Schwantz won a wild main event, topping Aussie Mark Avard and his Corona Extra Suzuki with Mark Burhart finishing third. Both Ward and McGrath crashed out of Sunday's final.

Schwantz picked up $5000 for taking the overall win.
